The UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital is one of the highest-rated children's hospitals in Southern California and is an integral component of the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, which is situated on the Main UCLA School Campus. The UCLA campus is situated in Westwood, which is 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean. UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center is a newly rebuilt campus of the UCLA Health and includes a branch of UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital, with a focus on pediatric orthopedic surgery, oncology, and general pediatrics. The hospital is situated 4 miles from the UCLA main campus and 5 minutes from the Pacific Ocean.
A UCLA van service shuttles between the two hospitals, with service at 30 minute intervals throughout the day.
