Candidates must have a PhD or MS degree in medical physics from a CAMPEP accredited graduate program or completion of a CAMPEP-accredited certificate program. Details of CAMPEP didactic prerequisites >

The UCLA Medical Physics Residency Program either recruits candidates directly or participates in the Medical Physics Matching Program.  The decision of participating in MedPhys Matching or not will be made prior to the opening of the matching process.  If the decision is made for participating in Match, residency applications will be accepted using the AAPM Medical Physics Residency Application Program (MP-RAP) between October and December. The UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology residency admission committee will review and rank the applications and will interview top candidates.

Application Cycle July 2023:

The program will not participate in the MedPhys Match for the July 1, 2023 start cycle.

If questions about the application procedure arise, please call Dr. Minsong Cao, Residency Program Director, or Liane Nash, Residency Coordinator at 310-267-5575 or [email protected].
