About

Dr. Dina Kamel is a general endocrinologist who practices in Burbank and Pasadena. While she sees patients with all sorts of endocrine and hormone disorders, she has a clinical interest in diabetes, pituitary and thyroid disorders. She believes in educating her patients about their medical conditions so that they can weigh in and help make decisions about their care.

Dr. Kamel was born in Egypt and raised in Los Angeles, where she remained throughout her medical education and training. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training at the University of Southern California. She received her bachelor's degree from Occidental College, where she majored in biology and minored in Spanish literature.

Dr. Kamel is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

She is fluent in Arabic and Spanish, and when she's not working, enjoys international travel and learning new languages.

After receiving a serious diagnosis, I was understandably concerned. Even though I had already discussed my test results and next steps over the phone, Dr. Kamel thoughtfully suggested a video visit a couple of days later to address any further questions that I had. Her empathy, patience, and professionalism were deeply reassuring. She never made me feel rushed and seemed completely familiar with every detail in my medical records. Her attentiveness made me feel as though I were her only patient. I am very grateful for the exceptional care and compassion Dr. Kamel showed me.
