UCLA Health was named the official medical partner to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2019, beginning a multiyear relationship in which UCLA Health physicians began providing care to players in 2020. The two organizations have also committed to partnering on services to benefit the community and to deliver their joint mission of community service, fitness and health for a broad and diverse audience.

"LA Health is proud to partner with a franchise as iconic and community-minded as the Dodgers,” said John Mazziotta, MD, PhD, Vice Chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences and CEO of UCLA Health. “Working together, we can take to even greater heights what I know we are both committed to – enhancing the health of the residents of greater Los Angeles and serving our collective community.”

Pediatric Patients Use Robot to "Run Bases" at Dodgers Stadium

Running the bases at Dodger Stadium is a fun tradition that many children look forward to after most Sunday games. But not all children, especially those who are currently hospitalized or recovering from an illness at home, can physically experience it. That's why UCLA Health, the Dodgers and OhmniLabs teamed up to create a virtual run-the-bases experience for 10 pediatric patients at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital.

“UCLA Health is proud to partner with a franchise as iconic and community-minded as the Dodgers,” said Dr. John Mazziotta, vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences and CEO of UCLA Health. “Working together, we can take to even greater heights what I know we are both committed to — enhancing the health of the residents of greater Los Angeles and serving our collective community.”
