Today��s visit was the last one with Dr. Kleerup as he is retiring in two weeks. He thoroughly went over the CT scan images, blood test results, the result of the high altitude breathing test, and the tobramycin inhalation treatment, and gave the names of doctors who would take over Dr. Kleerup��s position to care for my advanced bronchiectasis. He has been thorough. He is a professional and has exceptional communication skills. I am grateful for his guidance over the years. Thank you Dr. Kleerup.

Dr Kleerup has been my doc for about 4 years. I have a fairly uncommon illness, and he has worked with me to monitor it��s progression. He has never pushed me to start treatment, as I have other health conditions that would make the treatment very difficult for me, and it��s not something that treatment would necessarily cure. He is curious, kind, laid back, and interested in what his patients have to say. Sadly, for all of us, he is retiring in a few weeks. He deserves to go off, and enjoy his life, but UCLA is losing a great pulmonologist!

Dr Kleerup has been my pulmonologist for more than 25 years. He has always provided excellent and comprehensive care. He is very empathetic and has a wonderful demeanor. This was my last visit with him before he retires. I will miss him a great deal.

I greatly appreciated the excellent care and attention I received from Dr. Kleerup today. The doctor carefully reviewed and compared my CT scans in detail and explained my pulmonary condition and bronchiectasis in a very clear and understandable way. He also performed a walking test to evaluate the condition of my lungs and breathing capacity, which made me feel that my condition was being thoroughly and thoughtfully assessed. His knowledge and expertise were very evident throughout the visit. What impressed me most was his kindness and genuine concern. He went out of his way to offer additional suggestions and practical guidance to help me breathe more comfortably and improve my daily quality of life. He is not only highly knowledgeable, but also absolutely delightful, compassionate, and attentive. I feel very fortunate to be under his care.

Dr. Kleerup is my lung specialist and oversees my bronchietisis. I had a consultation regarding the daily low oxygen level, the substantial amount of pink colored sputum, and a sign of bacterial infection. He listened attentively, suggesting his protocols to identify the cause of the problems which I will follow. He is an excellent, professional doctor.

Since moving to California in 2018, I have been fortunate to have my pulmonary functions monitored and assessed by Dr. Eric Kleerup. I rely on his diagnoses as he invariably has command of my ongoing and updated medical history. With understanding of what Gastroenterology and Cardiology are reporting and recommending, he takes a most welcome comprehensive view. This view well informs his assessments and recommendations as to medications and their regimens.

I always look forward to my appointments with Dr Kleerup because he is thorough in his evaluations, and provides clear explanations as to what to do if the medications don’t do what he expects them to do. He requests the patients to contact him if side effects happen so he can prescribe ways to alter medications.
