Support Our COVID-19 Response

Support Our COVID-19 ResponsePhoto: Luis Chavez, The Argonaut

The UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine response to the COVID-19 pandemic is being dramatically accelerated through the support of our donors and partners, who have helped us secure vital resources for patient care, health care provider protection and wellness, and research to combat COVID-19.

Each and every gift has a real and direct impact on our work, including operating testing sites, providing exceptional patient care, launching more than 25 clinical trials, innovating new testing tools, and contributing to our global understanding of the nature of the virus. As the pandemic endures, we continue to work tirelessly to serve our patients, our community, and the world.

There are many ways to get involved. Please visit the links below to make a gift or learn more.

Patient Care and Healthcare Provider Protection

As we continue to comprehensively address the demands of COVID-19 while returning to normal operations and caring for our larger community of patients, donors can provide crucial support through the UCLA Health System’s President’s Strategic Fund. Gifts to the President’s Strategic Fund enable UCLA Health to meet challenges, including public health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, as they arise, while preparing for the health care needs of tomorrow—including enhancing the patient experience, investing in state-of-the-art medical equipment, and expanding UCLA Health locations.

Research and Education

In this unprecedented time for health care systems globally, UCLA is catalyzing transformative research to develop novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and prevention strategies that have the potential to change the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a leading academic health system that regularly treats patients with complex illnesses, UCLA Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine are uniquely positioned to overcome COVID-19. The pandemic has brought to the forefront the importance of collaboration, academic medicine, and an open dialogue between biomedical research teams and our expert clinicians.

Donations to COVID-19 Research and Education support UCLA’s efforts to understand how COVID-19 develops, is transmitted, and can be mitigated, contained and, ultimately, halted. Our systematic and comprehensive approach is activating strategies for every stage of this disease—from monitoring to prevention, early treatment, hospitalization, and recovery; as well as infectious disease education for health care providers and the public.

Other Ways to Help

Gifts of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We are closely monitoring PPE needs to ensure preparedness for safe pandemic response and patient care. Although our inventory is currently stable, we will continue to review offers of large PPE donations.

• If you have large quantities to donate, please contact [email protected]
• Any PPE sales solicitations should be directed to [email protected]

Feeding the Front Line

Courageous and skilled, UCLA health care professionals work around the clock to treat, comfort, and heal our patients when they need it most.

When you make a gift to the #TeamLA: Feeding the Front Line Fund, you’re helping UCLA Health provide complimentary cafeteria meals, coffee, and snacks to medical professionals during their shifts. Having access to hot entrees, soups, salads, deli items, and so much more means that our doctors, nurses, and staff have the fuel they need to do their very best.
