General Information

We interview for the Categorical IM program on Mondays and Fridays beginning in late October and running through December. Interviews for the STAR-PTSP program will be held on four categorical interview days, with additional afternoon program specific to physician scientists. For applicants to the Primary Care Track, interview dates are on Tuesdays in November and December. For applicants to the UCLA Med-Peds program, interview dates are on Wednesdays. All interviews will be held virtually. In exceptional cases, where inability to obtain an interview on scheduled interview dates would be a hardship on the applicant, visits at other times may be arranged by writing to:

Interview Day Schedule

The interview day starts at 8:00 am and ends around 1:30 pm. The day consists of introduction to UCLA IM, two interviews, resident noon conference, and a chance to talk with residents and program leadership.

Traditional evening happy hours will be replaced with an informal, virtual social event either the evening before or the evening of your interview day. While we wish we could meet you all in person, we hope you will get to know our residents in this relaxed setting.
