Dr. Lillian Chen was born on the East Coast and moved to Taiwan at the age of 10. She returned to the U.S. after high school and graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and subsequently completed her residency training in internal medicine at UCLA. She currently provides comprehensive primary care ranging from preventive health care to the management of chronic medical conditions. She also serves as a Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine. In her free time she enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.

Dr. L. Chen as always responded to my appointment request very quickly even when it came on the weekend. Though she could not see me on the weekend she suggested the Urgent Care I could go to and allocated a time slot to see her if I need the following Monday. My appointments with Dr Chen are always excellent, as was this one yesterday via video conference. She listened to my concerns and made referrals to the lab for tests that would get to the possible root of my problem. Early this morning she had already taken action on the lab results and notified me of next steps. Dr Chen is one of the best doctors I've ever had, and I'm 83 :). She's attentive, very professional, proactive, and very approachable. I marvel that if she thinks one of her patients has a serious immediate problem, she finds a way to fit them into her already busy schedule.

I am lucky to have the Doctor I have, she is very positive and I can ask her any questions about my health. I feel fortunate and feel like she keeps me on track with what I need to do to take care of my health. I fell on a walking trail the day before coming in , came down hard on my knees and scratch up my nose. She question me about one of my knees which was quite swollen and sugested I get an exray since the it pretty swollen. I had it done right after my exam. I appreciated very much that Dr Chen gracefully admitted me when I am late to the appointment! I promised be punctual from now on! She went through my blood tests results and kindly made suggestions. She sends me for the heart ultrasound to check the reasons for my constant fatigue. I am blessed to have such wonderful primary doctor!

So I did. She also checked out my nose after my nose infection and gave me the information to the ENT in Westwood. I need to make an appointment.
