UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital Child Life Program

Donate To Child Life

In order for the Chase Child Life Program to fulfill its potential and sustain its nationally recognized status, private support is required to meet ongoing funding challenges and to ensure that the current pace of progress continues.

Donations to the program will ensure that young patients continue to receive the best services available. Also, gifts to the Child Life Endowment Fund will provide income so that services are guaranteed.

Chase Child Life Program does not charge for its services. Your in-kind gifts, as well as monetary gifts to the Children's Hospital are always appreciated and will be used to directly support the pediatric patients and their families.

For all monetary gifts, please make checks payable to "UC Regents" with a notation to Chase Child Life Program.

For additional information, please call Chase Child Life Program at (310) 267-9437.

Chase Child Life Program Wish List

Hospitals can be a confusing and frightening environment for a child. Caesar is a 6-year old patient who endures lengthy hospitalizations resulting from cancer treatment. He found sports to be an important outlet, sharing that engaging in interactive games and watching baseball are his "fun activities" during lengthy admissions. Elizabeth is a 14-year old patient who endures lengthy hospitalizations resulting from cancer treatment. She found movies and singing to be important outlets, sharing that she forgets she's in the hospital when watching a movie or playing music.

UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital established Chase Child Life Program in 1968 in recognition of the unique needs of pediatric patients, especially those who are critically or chronically ill. The list below provides suggestions of items that Child Life Specialists frequently provide pediatric patients and families during their healthcare experience.
