Dr. Chung currently works in the NICU at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica. She received her medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine, completed her pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey, and finally her fellowship training in Neonatology at Tufts Medical Center. She earned her bachelor's degree at University of California, San Diego. During fellowship, she studied clinical practice and risk factors related to development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in preterm infants. She has also been involved with quality improvement projects in reducing the rate of intraventricular hemorrhage in extremely preterm infants.
There isn't one place that Dr. Chung calls home because she has lived all over the world, but she is finally happy to be back in her favorite place to live – Southern California. When she isn't working in the NICU, you can find her cooking/baking, going to the beach with her dog, or traveling and exploring somewhere new!
