About
Dr. Monika Symms is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her clinical areas of expertise include preventative and sick care of newborns through teenagers, with special interests in nutrition, sleep, behavior, and skin disorders.
After receiving her medical education from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland, she completed her pediatrics residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. During residency, Dr. Symms was nominated twice for the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts with honors from New York University.
Dr. Symms loves to support and educate families and feels it is a great privilege to care for children. She has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor by her physician peers every year since 2018 and has been a proud and active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2006.
Dr. Symms is pro-vaccine. She strongly believes in following the American Academy of Pediatrics immunization schedule, which is aligned with the California Department of Public Health recommendations.
