Always Welcome at UCLA

“This is not about us trying to get people to come into the hospital because we want their money. It’s about showing that we actually care,” says Yadira Zuniga, a PRIDE volunteer who works in the patient communication center for Urology and Gynecology at UCLA Health. “You don’t have to be gay to come to our centers. You just have to be an individual, a human being to come and feel the love and support that we give you. You aren’t just a patient to us. You are a family member coming into our family. We see you as an individual, not as an outsider. You are always welcome.”
