Patients Make My Day

“I originally came for the cookies, but then I thought maybe I should make a card,” reveals Kadrius Burgess, a second-year student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. “I’m making cards for two of my friends, Tracy and Amy. They’re the two people I’m closest with here, so I wanted to say ‘Thank you for being my friend’ and ‘Thank you for being there for me.’ This card-making event is a Big Sib/Little Sib event. I have two little sibs. I got a lot out of the Big Sib/Little Sib mentorship program, and I wanted to pass down resources and knowledge to people who are coming into DGSOM.”
