“It was heartwarming, being able to come and deliver these bears and put a smile on the patients’ faces,” reveals Keith Quinones, a United Airlines flight attendant who delivered Ben Flying Adventure Bears to UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital in Santa Monica. “Ben Flyin is the bears’ name, and he was created by United for young adults and children who are having a challenging time. The bear and his passport book can get their minds off what could be happening in their life. I was really impressed by the teamwork of the nurses and the staff here. They pay so much attention and know so many details about not only the patient but also the family who is here. Delivering the bears and putting a smile on their faces was really good.”
