The Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF), the fundraising arm of UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, is proud to announce the addition of Ted Gagliano to its Board of Directors.
As president of feature film post-production at Twentieth Century Fox Film, Gagliano supervises the completion of an average of 30 films per year across five divisions. In his 24 years at the studio, he has guided over 700 films, including the Oscar©-winning epics Titanic and Avatar, and the 1997 restoration of the Star Wars trilogy. In 2010, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Hollywood Post Alliance.
Gagliano is an avid researcher and investor in new medical technologies and has extensive board and fundraising experience. He also is a prolific cancer research supporter, most notably to brain tumor research at UCLA and the JCCF’s signature event Taste for a Cure.

Gasson, Jonsson Cancer Center director and professor of medicine and biological chemistry. “Ted brings personal commitment to raising funds for innovative research that leads to life-changing therapies for cancer patients everywhere.”
The JCCF board of directors is led by Chair Randall M. Katz, and Vice Chairs Jay Sures and Dana Walden. Katz is president of Milestone Entertainment and a director of the Ron and Maddie Katz Family Foundation. Sures is a partner and board member at United Talent Agency and the 2007 recipient of the foundation’s Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award. Walden is chairman and CEO of the Fox Television Group, and received the Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award in 2009 with fellow Fox chairman and CEO Gary Newman.
Other 2015-2016 foundation board officers include newly-elected treasurer Jordan Walder, managing director for Real Estate Capital Markets at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and secretary Ken Dorshkind, Ph.D., director of Shared Resources at the Jonsson Cancer Center. Gasson has served as president of the JCCF board of directors for 20 years. In June 2015, Margaret Steele, formerly CEO of Project Angel Food, was named Executive Director of the JCCF.
The Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation, founded in 1945, is the single most important vehicle for raising private funds for cancer research at UCLA. Through activities such as Taste for a Cure and Lifeline Connection, the foundation supports high-priority cancer research efforts aimed at translating laboratory discoveries into more effective and less toxic therapies for cancer patients.
