Pediatric patients at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital will be treated to a memorable Halloween event with costumes, decorations, accessories, activities and costume parades courtesy of Spirit Halloween, the country's largest seasonal Halloween retailer.
"Spirit Halloween is doing a great thing by bringing happiness to these kids at the hospital," said Amy Bullock, director of Child Life|Child Development Services at Mattel Children's Hospital. "It's a special joy to watch the kids enjoy a holiday they would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in."
24 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Through the "Spirit of Children" program, Spirit Halloween retailers also raise money at the store level through customer donations. All funds are donated to the child life departments at participating hospitals and go toward improving the comfort and hospital experience of pediatric patients through the purchase of flat screen TVs, books, DVD players, DVDs, CDs, computers, entertainment centers, toys, games and other items.
