Calendar Listing for Tues, June 19

At an upcoming free seminar, UCLA professor of urology, Dr. Robert Reiter, will present and discuss the latest outpatient laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate -- a condition that affects more than half of men over age 60 and can lead to frequent, painful or weak urination.  The new outpatient treatment, called GreenLight Laser Therapy, utilizes a new XPS laser that effectively removes enlarged prostate tissue to help open the urine channel to improve flow.  Other treatments for the condition, including medication and surgery, will also be discussed. The program is sponsored by the UCLA Department of Urology.
