UCLA Health Recognized at the 2022 eHealthcare Leadership Awards

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards, now in its 23rd year, recognizes exceptional websites, marketing and digital communications. More than 1,000 entries come from a wide range of healthcare organizations including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, health plans, online health organizations, pharmaceutical/medical equipment companies, and more.

UCLA Health received the following eHealthcare Awards, which included two Platinum awards, three Gold awards and six Silver awards:

Best Digital Leadership in HEDI

Gold Award: “Who you are is who we serve: A UCLA Health digital campaign to celebrate LGBTQ+ audiences”

This new category for 2022 includes longer form video content (2 minutes or longer).

Gold Award: “UCLA Health video captures two brothers reunited by a pioneering transplant procedure”


Best Healthcare Podcast

Gold Award: “UCLA Health’s BrainSPORT Podcast tackles today’s most pressing brain injury and brain health topics”


Best Email Content

This new category for 2022 focuses on the best healthcare content delivered as an email.

Silver Award: “UCLA Health promotes innovative mental health research through email newsletter”


Best Digital Internal Communications

Best Intranet

This new category for 2022 includes videos under 2 minutes in length. Videos deployed as TV advertisements, web video, TikTok, Reels, YouTube or on any other platform are eligible.

Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Marketing

This new award category for 2022 focuses on how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are successfully applied to improve data-driven marketing priorities.

Silver Award: “How UCLA Health integrated an open scheduling feature into our chatbot to drive new patient acquisition and improve patient retention”


The eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize the work that has gone into creating outstanding health websites and digital initiatives. They highlight the role of digital communications in achieving healthcare organizations’ business objectives. Winners of the 2022 Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards were announced Nov. 9 at a special presentation in Miami during the Healthcare Internet Conference (HCIC).
