UCLA students to hold dance marathon for pediatric AIDS research

WHAT:
UCLA students and others will dance the night away at the 10th annual Dance Marathon at UCLA, a 26-hour bop-till-you-drop event organized by the student-run Pediatric AIDS Coalition to raise money for pediatric AIDS research and increase public awareness.

In just nine years, the event has raised $2.15 million to benefit the UCLA AIDS Institute, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, One Heartland and Project Kindle. Last year's event alone raised more than $407,000.

Previous dance marathons have drawn more than a thousand student dancers, as well as celebrities, faculty, staff and supporters, and this year's event is expected to be the biggest yet.
