Food + Love = Patient Care

Food is a gateway for a lot of emotions and it’s a way that a lot of families show love,” says Suzanne Hollander, MS, RD, a pediatric and adult dietician for the cystic fibrosis clinic and pulmonology clinic at UCLA Health. “I work with patients who have pulmonology disorders, including cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis patients are diagnosed in early infancy and often don’t gain weight until they’re diagnosed and put on the correct nutrition and enzyme regimen. I love interacting with patients and their families. It really is an honor to be involved in a family and that relationship is very special.”
