The Right Place

“My daughter is getting an infusion right now,” explains Rose Tafoya, who chose Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. “Maria is 34-years-old and had adult acute myeloid leukemia. She had a bone marrow transplant and is in remission. We both try to stay positive every day. She has two beautiful little girls, so she has a lot to live for. We never expected this, but we couldn’t have been at a better place. The care was wonderful. Anytime a friend would call or text, they would say, ‘You’re at the right place.’ We couldn’t have asked for better care. The Ceremony of Life touched my heart. Hearing the gentleman who’s still here after 40 years of having AML means a lot to me. I just want to thank everyone at UCLA Health.”
