The Care-4-Families program (C4F) at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital provides comprehensive clinical care, educational and psychological support, and access to state of the art clinical trials for HIV-infected pregnant women and adolescents, HIV-exposed and infected infants, and HIV-infected children.

A multi-disciplinary team of HIV specialists, including pediatric infectious diseases physicians, high-risk obstetricians, adolescent medicine, psychiatry, nurse practitioners with training in family & women's health, a social worker, and a dietician provide primary care for patients and counseling and education for their families.

Our team works with UCLA subspecialists trained in nephrology, gastroenterology, neurodevelopment, pulmonary diseases, dermatology and cardiology to provide coordinated specialty care to our patients.

C4F is a recipient of Part B and Part D Ryan White and is a site for the NIH-funded International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT). Our state-of-the-art immunology and virology laboratories located on the UCLA campus provide rapid diagnosis of HIV disease and support physicians in treatment decisions.
