Gary Ghazarian, Chair

Gary Ghazarian is a partner at Renewable Land Advisors, an investment firm focused on real property supporting renewable energy projects, and at Current Equity Partners, a venture capital firm investing in digital infrastructure companies. Both companies were launched in 2024 by a couple of Gary’s colleagues from his previous firm.

Before joining Renewable Land and Current, Gary was a partner and director of operations at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, a $35 billion investment manager. Gary had been with Kayne Anderson and a former affiliate firm for over 20 years. Prior to that, he was a vice president at Wilshire Associates, a leading institutional investment consulting firm. Gary earned a BA in economics from UCLA and an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Southern California.

Gary has been a volunteer with Operation Mend since 2013 and has had the honor of spending significant time with nearly twenty wounded warriors and their caregivers. He joined Operation Mend’s inaugural board in 2019, was elected Co-Chair, and moved into the Chair position in 2024. His prior volunteer work with veterans includes being awarded the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Philanthropist of the Year award in 2015 for his work with Operation Mend, the Advisory Council of the Ventura County Veterans Fund, and the Gold Coast Veterans Foundation, where he served as Vice Chair. Gary also previously served on the Board of Counselors at the USC Master of Business for Veterans Program. He was recognized in the Congressional Record by the House of Representatives for his support of veterans.
