About
Dr. Adam Braun pratices hematology and oncology at UCLA Health clinics in Westwood, Santa Monica, and Porter Ranch. Dr. Braun is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He is interested in hematological malignancies, especially leukemia and lymphoma, with a focus in cellular therapies like chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), and antibody therapies like bispecific or trispecific antibodies.
Dr. Braun attended medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed internal medicine residency and a year as Chief Resident at UCLA Medical Center. Then, he completed fellowship in Hematology & Oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center. He attended Emory University as an undergraduate.
Dr. Braun focuses on research within the clinical areas of hematology. He has published abstracts and manuscripts in Blood, Leukemia & Lymphoma, Leukemia Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology Educational Book, and Annals of Hematology. He teaches and mentors students, residents and fellows at UCLA, City of Hope and Charles R. Drew University. He volunteers with organizations like Sharsheret to spread information about cancer screening and prevention and Phase One to support clinical trial development.
Dr. Braun grew up in Tarzana, CA. He spent his childhood attending UCLA Lab School (formerly, Corinne A. Seeds University Elementary School) and Harvard-Westlake School. Outside of the clinics and hospitals, he plays music, tennis, and pickleball, and attends cultural events all over Los Angeles.
Dr. Braun is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
