Alexander P. Sung, MD, PhD, MS

Dr. Alex Sung is a primary care physician at the UCLA Pasadena Primary Care Clinic. Dr. Sung is board certified in internal medicine and graduated from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his medical residency in internal medicine at the USC Keck School of medicine/LAC+USC Medical Center.

Dr. Sung’s research expertise is in the field of immunology. He earned his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Sung is also a clinical educator at the UCLA School of Medicine and is enthusiastic about working with students at all levels.

Dr. Sung was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. He moved to Los Angeles for residency. In his time away from work, Dr. Sung enjoys basketball skiing, travelling, and trying new restaurants. He also likes making desserts, attending sporting events and relaxing at the beach.
