About

Dr. Alfonso Padilla is a sleep medicine physician who practices in Santa Monica. He is board certified in sleep medicine and pediatrics, and sees both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Padilla treats all sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome and circadian rhythm disorders. He practices evidence-based medicine and uses a pragmatic approach to help patients achieve the best long-term outcomes. He is also a clinical assistant professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Padilla received his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. Upon returning to Southern California in 2005, he practiced pediatrics for 10 years. During this time, he developed an interest in sleep medicine, and completed a sleep medicine fellowship at UCLA in 2017.

When he isn't working, Dr. Padilla enjoys traveling, staying active and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
