I went in for my first appointment with an endocrinologist today—and I am so glad it was Dr Sumal. I am in my 30s, recently diagnosed with PCOS, and though the signs were always there but yet it hurts to know that there’s no tangible pay off inspite of following an active lifestyle, tracking my calories and eating healthy home-cooked food. I am highly keen on finding ways to manage or hopefully reverse my symptoms to better focus on my academic and professional commitments and successfully complete my PhD. It was therefore wonderful meeting Dr Sumal today who is not only extremely erudite, thorough and knowledgeable about insulin resistance and management but he is also extremely empathetic, pleasant and articulate. Most importantly Dr Sumal felt quite relatable and comes across as a really nice human being. I do have enough reasons to believe that (fingers crossed) that Dr Sumal will be the perfect guide to help me tackle my PCOS in order to lead a healthy and happy life.

Dr. Sumal was very professional, very caring, and explained everything very clearly to me and my son. He also allayed many of our fears. Our son’s primary diagnosed him with low testosterone and Dr. Sumal clearly explained that the test was done at the wrong time and needed to be repeated at the correct time. He also did a thorough evaluation of my son’s thyroid and concluded was normal but would repeat the test just to be safe. He drew many diagrams and pictures to clearly explain it to me and my son. This was an incredible experience. The doctor gave us a terrific plan and explained everything very clearly.

The office was clean. Everyone was so professional and friendly including the doctor. I felt like my medical issues were being addressed seeing me as a whole. The doctor was kind and energized. Nurse who took my blood was great as well, one stab and she hit the jackpot. Really loved that office and all the people there.
