About
A native of Southern California, Dr. Young left its warm confines for college at Northwestern University. He continued east for his medical degree at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, where he felt an immediate draw to anesthesiology. He returned home to SoCal for residency training in anesthesia at UCLA, staying on for a fellowship in critical care medicine and then as a member of the clinical faculty. Dr. Young splits his time between providing anesthesia in the operating room and providing critical care in the cardiothoracic and surgical intensive care units. He is involved in fellow and resident education as well as quality improvement.
