JAMA: Progress in Patient Safety in Anesthesia

Drs. Methangkool and Cole
Drs. Emily Methangkool, Dan Cole, and Maxime Cannesson co-authored a lead article that appeared in JAMA on December 29, highlighting anesthesiology’s ongoing successful efforts to improve patient safety. “As a specialty, anesthesiology has continued to enhance patient safety and has expanded its vision from reducing mortality to improving perioperative processes that enhance long-term functional, cognitive, and psychological health,” the authors wrote.
