About

Dr. Kamzan received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at UCLA before joining the pediatric hospital medicine division as faculty in 2013. She became chief of the pediatric hospital medicine division in 2021. Since 2024, she has served as the director of quality and patient safety for Mattel Children’s Hospital. She is also a member of the pediatric residency medical education team where she serves as an advisor for residents, co-teaches the quality improvement/patient safety curriculum for residents, and oversees the evidence-based medicine curriculum. Her research interests lie in quality improvement and patient safety in the hospital setting and engaging trainees in this work.
