About

Dr. Reader is an adult board-certified psychiatrist. She completed her medical training in the Washington D.C. area and residency at Georgetown University. During residency, Dr. Reader established a psychiatric practice within a nonprofit mental health clinic organization for inner city HIV+/AIDS patients, as well as instituting a Suboxone program for underserved patients at a local community health clinic. Following residency she continued with these positions as well as maintained a private practice with a focus on reproductive psychiatry, college mental health and general mood disorders. After relocating to Los Angeles, Dr. Reader expanded her practice to include both TMS and Ketamine infusions to treat refractory depression. In more recent years, her focus has been on PTSD treatment with psychopharmacology, IFS informed psychotherapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). She is trained in MDMA assisted psychotherapy, and has a great area of interest in psychedelic medicines in general.
