About

Dr. Brian Na is the Director of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Program, part of the world-renowned UCLA Brain Tumor Program and the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also is the Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist for the UCLA Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis Program, which is the only program of its kind on the West Coast to provide comprehensive care for this condition from infancy through adulthood.

Dr. Na specializes in treating children, adolescents, and young adults with brain tumors, neurofibromatosis, and schwannomatosis. He runs a incredibly comprehensive and multidisciplinary program involving pediatric and medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, pediatric cancer geneticists and genetic counselors, neuropathologists, nuclear medicine specialists, physical and occupational therapists.

Inspired by his patients and families and seeing firsthand the desperate need for more effective therapies, Dr. Na is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, where he is studying atypical teratoid/rhaboid tumors (AT/RT) and neurofibromatosis. In addition, seeing the need for comprehensive care for the adolescent young adult population as well as patients with neurofibromatosis, he returned to clinical training, where he is completing an adult neuro-oncology fellowship in the world-renowned UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program so that he can provide care for patients across all lifestages.

Dr. Na's research has been supported by the Harry Winston Fellowship in the UCLA Department of Pediatrics, the NIH T32 Tumor Cell Biology Grant, the Tower Cancer Research Foundation, and the Matthew Larson (IronMatt) Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumors.
