Dr. Wong earned his B.A. at USC and his M.D. at Loyola University of Chicago. He completed his Pulmonary Fellowship in 1985 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as Quality Assurance and Utilization Review. He is Co-Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Little Company of Mary Medical Center.

I had not seen Dr. Wong in more than a year and after discussing more than just my medication‘s and came to the conclusion that I needed to do some additional testing so that he could have a good point of reference since 2020 is the last time I had the breathing tests. I feel that he explained things very well and set up my future appointments and follow up care.

As always, The entire staff in his office are ssooo welcoming, professional and caring. Dr. Wong has been my pulmonologist for about forty years and I am soooo thankful that he has stayed practicing in the South Bay area. I have a lung infection and a cough that then kicks asthma in full gear. I called Dr. Wong's office and they scheduled a Telehealth appointment within 2 hours. Dr. Wong was able to prescribe and refill meds that should help me take a deep breath!!

Dr Wong has been my doctor for the last 40 some yrs and he saved my life quite a few times in all these years. He ordered X-ray and acted promptly calling paramedics when he noticed I was having shortness of breath and back pain I believe this was the 3rd time I went to his office for breathing problems and landed in a hospital. He's a skilled physician with a lot of knowledge and experience, who is not afraid to show that he's also a human. He listens actively. He remembers significant moments about our shared history. He cares about me, and the feeling is mutual. He doesn't try to fit my square peg into a round hole. He approaches care as a collaboration - informed by his knowledge of the practice of medicine and of medications, and my knowledge of my body and what changes in routine will and won't work for me at this juncture. Even though I currently am well enough to see Dr. Wong only once per year, it is a comfort knowing that he's there if I need him.

Dr Wong listens to your concerns and answers in a manner which a patient who is not in the medical field understands. Did not feel rushed as is often the case when visiting a doctor. Dr. Wong also answered my messages when I contacted him thru MyChart in a timely manner; the same day. Could not believe it! I really appreciated his timely responses to address my concerns. It matters when I am experiencing so many breathing issues. Thank you Dr Wong. You have restored my faith in doctors!!!!
