About
Dr. Gurveen Sandhu is a primary care physician who practices in Torrance. Her clinical interests include preventive care and patient education. She is board certified in internal medicine and an assistant professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She looks forward to developing long-term relationships with her patients.
Before moving to the outpatient setting, Dr. Sandhu spent five years as a hospitalist physician, treating inpatients in Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Health – Santa Monica Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She then completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at UCLA. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology from UC Davis.
Dr. Sandhu grew up in the Bay Area and recently moved with her husband to the South Bay. When she’s not working, she enjoys participating in outdoor activities, such as golf and pickleball, cooking and dining out.

Everything went good , Dr an examination of me ,and overall check up by the Dr., she was excellent , asked me lots of questions and explained in detail my concerns, order an EKG , give me a flu shot and give me a glucose monitor sampler that was installed and teach me how to use it, by the nurse. I was very pleased with the kind care at the office visit.

I got the call at the exact time that I was told that it would be. The Dr. was very nice and cordial, she made feel comfortable with the exchange. I was recommended to fallow up with an EKG, since it’s been longer than a year ago of the last one. I was explained the side effect of of two medications, and the possibility of dehydration. I will see Dr Sandhu in two days. I was very satisfied with the outcome, I’ll follow up with her.

Dr. Sandhu is one of the best doctors I've encountered in my 65+ years. She is highly responsive, attentive and well informed. Her innate curiousity and true interest in getting to the bottom of things rather than just treat the symptom is outstanding. Her previous experience as a hospitalist likely has given her a deeper level of experience than most PCP's. I highly recommend her.
