About
Dr. Haia Chakoukani is a board-certified Family Medicine physician practicing at UCLA’s Century City clinic, where she cares for families and patients of all ages, though most of her practice centers on adult medicine. A proud triple Bruin, she completed her undergraduate education, medical school, and residency training at UCLA.
Dr. Chakoukani’s rigorous academic foundation has equipped her to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to a wide spectrum of patients. In the fast-paced outpatient setting, she provides streamlined, patient-centered care—believing that trust and human connection are key to healing. She values long-term relationships with patients and continuity of care across life stages.
Beyond her work in preventive care and management of acute and chronic conditions, Dr. Chakoukani offers a broad range of office procedures. She has a particular interest in trigger point injections, a skill she developed as a medical student through UCLA’s Center for East-West Medicine and refined throughout her years in practice. She values this procedure for its ability to decrease pain and improve mobility in patients with acute or chronic muscle and soft tissue pain. She views procedural care as one component of comprehensive primary care, integrating these services thoughtfully alongside medical management and lifestyle guidance.
Committed to serving a diverse patient population, Dr. Chakoukani holds professional language proficiency certification in Arabic and Spanish, reflecting her dedication to cultivating meaningful relationships with patients across multiple cultures and backgrounds.
As a Southern California native, the diversity of her upbringing has grounded Dr. Chakoukani in the same curiosity and openness that inform her clinical work. She holds a deep interest in people, societies, and the forces that shape them. She enjoys hosting and is actively learning Portuguese, which she has used to connect with others while traveling. Dr. Chakoukani also prioritizes her own well-being through energizing pursuits such as rollerblading along the coast and dancing salsa. In a profession that demands constant presence and care for others, she sees caring for herself not as separate from her work, but as integral to how she cares for her patients.
