About
Dr. Ing was born in North Carolina. He graduated from Harvard with a concentration in biochemical sciences. He obtained both his medical degree and his masters in public health at the University of North Carolina. He then completed both his residency in anesthesiology and his fellowship in pain management at UCLA in 2014, and stayed on as faculty. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management.
Dr. Ing is the director of the inpatient chronic pain service at the UCLA Ronald Reagan campus. He also has outpatient practices in Westwood and Santa Monica. He is involved in training anesthesiology residents and pain management fellows. He also has collaborated closely with other departments and has given numerous presentations to medical students, residents, faculty, nurse practitioners, and patients outside of his department.
Dr. Ing focuses on multimodal, interventional, and multidisciplinary therapies as alternatives to opioid therapy. In addition, he assesses patients with chronic pain prior to surgeries and makes recommendations for improving their postoperative pain.
