About
Dr. Joel Thomas is a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine at UCLA and practices as a primary care physician in Torrance. He provides compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized care to his patients. His clinical interests are broad, including patient education and management of chronic medical conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from St. George's University in Grenada. He completed his internal medicine residency training at SUNY Stony Brook at Mather Hospital. He then worked as a Hospitalist/Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital for two years before joining UCLA Health.
Dr. Thomas is from New York and is excited to practice near family in Southern California. When he's not working, he enjoys playing basketball, traveling, volunteering, exploring new cuisine, and spending time with his family.
