About

Dr. Jordyn F. Silverstein is a clinical instructor of hematology/oncology at UCLA Health, seeing patients at the Westwood and Encino cancer centers. She has a clinical and research focus on gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and vaginal/vulvar cancers.

Dr. Silverstein earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed her hematology and oncology fellowship at UCLA, where she was elected chief fellow. She also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research from UCLA. Dr. Silverstein received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Silverstein's research program is dedicated to expanding access to novel therapies for patients with gynecologic malignancies through clinical trials. She is a member of the Translational Oncology Research Laboratory of the globally renowned oncologist Dr. Dennis Slamon, where researchers leverage novel technologies to drive breakthrough discoveries in cancer drug development. Her work has a particular focus on antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and endocrine therapy combinations, including understanding biomarkers of response and resistance to ADCs in ovarian cancer. She has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, with high-impact work appearing in JAMA Oncology, JAMA Network Open, the International Journal of Gynecologic Oncology, and Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Silverstein has presented her research at ASCO 2026 and ESMO Gynaecological Oncology 2025. She is the recipient of the ASCO Merit Award, the ASCO Young Investigator Award, and the Foundation for Women's Cancer Research Grant, and serves on ASCO’s Early Career Faculty Board.

A native Angeleno, Dr. Silverstein grew up in Tarzana, California. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, pickleball, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Silverstein is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).
