About
Karla Lagunas is a bilingual Spanish-speaking licensed clinical social worker at UCLA Health Behavioral Health Associates Calabasas clinic. Previously, Lagunas served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Southern California Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work where she taught various courses such as Introduction to Social Work Practice with Children, Youth, and Families and Human Behavior in the Social Environment. She specializes in trauma and is certified in Managing Adaptive Practice, Seeking Safety, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy evidence based practices. Lagunas received her master’s degree in social work from USC. She received a bachelor’s degree with a major in psychology and social welfare from UC Berkeley.
