My experience today is much like all of my experiences with Dr. Opene… excellent. He’s personable, and makes me feel like he’s invested in my care and success. He’s knowledgeable, able to access complicated subjects off the top of his head and present them in a way that is digestible to the uninformed. His approach feels youthful and contemporary, and gives me confidence when talking about sometimes touchy subjects. I’ve seen many doctors within the UCLA system, but Dr. Opene is in a class to himself

The front desk staff in Suite E24 was absolutely wonderful, kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The medical assistant who took my vitals was also exceptionally friendly, compassionate, and attentive. When I met with Dr. Opene, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for his patients. He took the time to make me feel heard and well cared for, and his approach truly stood out. Dr. Opene sets an exceptional example of what a medical provider should be. He has established a very high standard of professionalism, compassion, and patient care that I believe other providers could strive to achieve. I sincerely appreciate the outstanding experience and care I received from the entire team.

I really love my doctor. He’s restored my faith in the UCLA health system. He’s thorough, direct and efficient without rushing or being rude. I actually feel like a person instead of a chart number. I have to pass 3 other UCLA clinics I can go to and drive an extra 17 1/2 miles to see Dr. Opene and IT’S WORTH IT!

Dr Opene has been my Dr for several years now. I even drove 45 minutes for my appt today because he transferred to a new location and I still want to see him, he’s that good. Dr Opene is caring and ACTUALLY listens when I talk. He is not like most drs that just want to prescribe another medication but wants me to get healthy and feel better. I credit Dr. Opene with getting me started on the road to a healthier me.

I really like Dr. Opene. Appreciate that he takes the time to find out the complexity of whatever health issues I’m experiencing. And also explains my options.
