About
Missy Cheese is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who practices as a licensed therapist for Behavioral Health Associates at UCLA. Missy earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Applied Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006. Missy earned her master's degree in Social Work, concentrating in Health with a sub-concentration in Older Adults, from the University of Southern California in 2013. Missy has certificate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Problem-Solving Therapy. Additionally, Missy has received training in Behavioral Activation Therapy from the department of psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Prior to joining UCLA Health, Missy worked as an inpatient and outpatient Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Missy has comprehensive experience addressing the psychosocial needs of individuals and families with histories of terminal illness, chronic illness, substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness, and human trafficking.
When she's not in the office, Missy enjoys reading, engaging in outdoor activities, and traveling.
