About
Dr. Boland is a dual board-certified sports medicine and family medicine physician who takes care of athletes and active individuals of all ages. He specializes in non-surgical orthopedic conditions of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, elbow, and wrist including osteoarthritis, tendonitis, and other chronic over-use injuries. He is an expert in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for the purpose minimally invasive, office-based orthopedic procedures.
Dr. Boland has served as the team physician for multiple high school, college, and professional teams during his career. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship at UCLA where he served as the head team physician for UCLA baseball, tennis, and golf. He served as the assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2022-23 season and the Los Angeles Dodgers during both the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. He has also served as the local team physician for several high schools including Santa Monica and Beverly Hills High.
Dr. Boland has published research in peer-reviewed journals investigating the effects of sleep and athletic performance as well as injury risks of youth marathon training. Currently, he is seeing pediatric and adult patients in the UCLA Health Malibu Clinic for both general primary care and sports medicine. When he is not working, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, skiing, and traveling.

I say that as a person who understands all of the business side of healthcare, and how hard it is to find people that still are able to maintain a good bedside manner He stands out among all others—-makes me look forward to our visit because I know he is a good person, even though I know in my midlife, there are challenges and barriers that I am currently experiencing, and there could be more coming! It’s my first Tele doctoring appointment modern technology. We did have some issues with the microphone. I had to turn off the or disconnect from the service twice and reconnect to it for the microphone to work. Luckily, no one feel felt rushed and I had a good consultation with my doctor we went over our test results and I also did need a doctors note for being absent from work on sick leave

If he ever left, I would go with him because I never want any other doctor Besides him he gave me two Cortizone shots yesterday that were so desperately needed and today I feel so much better than I did and he did them not because I begged for them, but because he knew I needed them and he did them in his way, which is most important. He also has an MMA that it is super superior above all MAs and I am grateful to have them both taking care of me because I hold them in the highest regard.
