Dr. Nickols is a physician scientist who earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed his residency training in the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Nickols obtained his doctorate degree at the California Institute of Technology in 2007. He joined the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology as an Assistant Professor in Residence in 2014. Dr. Nickols is interested in exploring a chemical biology approach to the modulation of ionizing radiotherapy, overcoming treatment resistance mechanisms and conducting combined therapy clinical trials for locally advanced prostate cancer.
