Dr. Robert Reiss is an internal medicine specialist who practices in Palos Verdes. He is board certified in internal medicine and has a clinical interest in non-surgical sports medicine and general fitness.

Dr. Reiss received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Foundation Hospital. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Before coming to UCLA Health, Dr. Reiss had a private practice and worked with numerous athletes as a team physician for the University of Southern California. He also consulted for the San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Association of Volleyball Professionals.

Outside of work, Dr. Reiss enjoys fitness and has competed in numerous marathons and triathlons, long-distance swims and bike rides. He volunteers often — he has been a successful fundraiser for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and was given the 2022 Impact Award for his work. Dr. Reiss also volunteers at Homeboy Industries where he removes tattoos from former gang members and the formerly incarcerated, thereby helping them reenter society.

Dr. Reiss enjoys being with his family and traveling, as well as creating content for his travel blog.
