Samer S. Ebaid, MD, PhD, MS

Samer Ebaid is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Ebaid specializes in adult and pediatric hepatobiliary, pancreas, and abdominal transplant surgery. He is certified by the American board of surgery and the American Society of transplant surgeons.

Dr. Ebaid received his medical degree from Cairo University in 2001. From 2002 to 2009, he completed oncology surgery training at the National Cancer Institute – Cairo University, where he received his Master of Science degree and his Ph.D./MD degree. He then completed his surgical residency training at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York, where he was awarded an outstanding resident teacher in 2014-2015. He then completed specialty training in abdominal organ transplantation in habitability surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.

From 2017-2022, he was an abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. His clinical and research interests include adult and pediatric liver surgery and transplantation, living donor liver transplantation, and vascular resection and reconstruction of advanced hepatobiliary cancers.
