About
Dr. Shaya Noorian is a Health Sciences Clinical Instructor of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Nutrition. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at UCLA and is currently pursuing advanced training in clinical nutrition at UCLA.
Dr. Noorian’s practice focuses include nutritional support and the use of nutritional therapy for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions, obesity, and associated metabolic conditions. He also conducts clinical research at the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition and UCLA Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). His research interests include studying the relationship between nutrition and IBD. His current research focuses on studying impact of nutritional interventions, malnutrition, and sarcopenia on clinical outcomes in patients with IBD.
