Dr. Shey Mukundan is the Clinical Lead for UCLA Health's Hospitalist Service in Ventura and Santa Barbara, and holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Mukundan was raised in Orange County, California. He graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx with a distinction in clinical research. He remained at the same institution for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, and obtained his board certification after graduation. He joined the faculty at UCLA in 2017.

His professional interests include clinical practice growth and development, healthcare innovation, cardiovascular disease, quality improvement, and medical education.
