
Sushrut S. Thiruvengadam, MD
About
Dr. Thiruvengadam completed his undergraduate training with a major in human biology at Dartmouth University in New Hampshire, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he received a scholarship for a five-year research focused medical school training. He completed his internal medicine training at Stanford University Hospitals and Clinics before finishing his general gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA.
Dr. Thiruvengadam's academic interests includes prevention and endoscopic management of gastrointestinal and pancreatobiliary malignancies. His research has focused on pancreas cyst evaluation, management of patients with genetic predisposition to pancreas cancer and risk stratification of duodenal polyposis in familial adenomatous polyposis. He also has an interest in teaching and enjoys working with gastroenterology fellows on refining different endoscopic skills.
Dr. Thiruvengadam is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in gastroenterology. He is an active member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association.
