About
Dr. Attar relocated to Los Angeles from Virginia, where he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Hospital Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. During this period, he also held the position of Medical Director at ETSI Clinic, focusing on providing sexual health and gender-affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, Dr. Attar is passionate about nutrition and obesity medicine, holding a Master of Science degree in Nutrition. He has a particular interest in the interplay between nutrition, obesity, metabolic disease, and mental health.
As an Osteopathic Internist at UCLA Health, Dr. Attar specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of adult diseases. He provides comprehensive, whole-person care for complex and chronic conditions, managing multiple health issues simultaneously. Dr. Attar focuses on understanding the whole patient rather than just individual symptoms, coordinating care with other specialists as needed, and emphasizing preventive medicine and nutrition to maintain overall health.
