Tina A. Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen is a triple board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal–Fetal Medicine, and Clinical Informatics, and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at University of California, Los Angeles. She specializes in high-risk pregnancy, with particular interest in twin pregnancies and complex deliveries. She is especially dedicated to caring for families who come to pregnancy after prior complications or difficult experiences, providing thoughtful guidance, advanced medical expertise, and steady reassurance during what can feel like an uncertain time.

Dr. Nguyen began her academic journey at just fourteen years old through the Early Entrance Program at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2007 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Mount Sinai Hospital. She returned to Los Angeles for fellowship training in Maternal–Fetal Medicine at UCLA from 2011 to 2014 and has remained on faculty there since, contributing to both patient care and physician education.

For over twenty years, Dr. Nguyen has contributed to research spanning patient-centered survey studies to bench-based investigations. Since 2017, she has been board-certified in both Maternal–Fetal Medicine and Clinical Informatics, bringing a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the intersection of technology and pregnancy care. Her recent research focuses on digital health tools designed to improve care for individuals who are planning pregnancy, currently pregnant, or navigating the postpartum period.

In both her clinical and academic work, Dr. Nguyen believes exceptional care begins with listening. She prioritizes clear communication, shared decision-making, and individualized treatment plans so that every patient feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their pregnancy journey.
